    Be part of the exclusive Wirecard-Fraud simulation-experience with first hand in-sights by Dan Mc Crum, the investigative journalist who unveiled Germany’s biggest fraud scandal in it’s economic history. Join us for this multi-perspective analyses on legal, regulation, audit and investigative aspects as the Wirecard-thriller unfolded in an unprecedented learning workshop guided by Prof. Dr. Katja Langenbucher, Professor für Bürgerliches Recht, Wirtschaftsrecht und Bankrecht and others. 

    The workshop will be credited with -5- CPE’s. The lecture will be held in English. 

    Speaker        

    Dan McCrum, Investigative Journalist, Financial Times

    Dan McCrum is a member of the Financial Times investigations team. His reporting on Wirecard has been recognised with more than a dozen awards and prizes, including journalist of the year at the 2020 British Press Awards and a special Deutsche Reporterpreis for investigative journalism. He has spent the last 15 years writing about business for the FT from New York and London. Before becoming a reporter he learned a little about finance in Citigroup’s equity research department. His book will be published in German as House of Wirecard by Ullstein in May, and in English as Money Men by Penguin in June.

    Prof. Dr. Katja Langenbucher, Professur für Bürgerliches Recht, Wirtschaftsrecht und Bankrecht, House of Finance, Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main

    Katja has published extensively on corporate, banking and securities law. Her book “Economic transplants – on lawmaking for corporations and capital markets" (CUP 2017) offers an interdisciplinary outlook on finance; her latest co-edited book discusses the “Capital Market Union and beyond" (MIT Press 2019). Katja's current research projects focus on FinTech, artificial intelligence and corporate governance of banks. Katja will accompany us as an expert throughout the learning journey.
